Keyless Entry - Can't Unlock Boot After Auto Locking

After Drive-away Locking Activates, It Is Not Possible to Unlock the Boot

All vehicles produced up to June 30, 2012

SITUATION
After drive-away locking activates, it is not possible to unlock the boot. This only occurs under the following conditions:

^ Drive-away locking is activated twice during the same driving trip.

^ The driver or passenger exits the vehicle after the trip.

^ The boot lid is not unlocked with the rest of the vehicle.

CAUSE
CAS (Car Access System) software error

[NEW] CORRECTION
Update the vehicle software using ISTA/P (Integrated Service Technical Application, programming) 2.47.2 or higher.

[NEW] PROCEDURE

1. Perform a vehicle test using ISTA and troubleshoot any faults related to the CAS.

2. Program the vehicle using ISTA/P 2.47.2 or higher.

Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.

When the ISTA system message displays: Battery voltage only "XX.XX" V. Please connect charger. Please note the displayed battery voltage reading in the repair order comments section.
