CCC Navigation

CCC Navigation

Car Communication Computer (CCC) navigation
In the test module "CCC navigation", the following connections / functions are tested.
- Fault code memory entries (after self-test and system test)
- HIP module
- Rotation rate sensor
- GPS aerial

Analysis of the fault code memory entries
In the test module "CCC navigation", the relevant fault code memory entries are analysed and the corresponding fault remedy measures are displayed. Some fault code entries are only entered in the memory when a self-test or system test is run. These tests are run automatically at the start of the test module.

Test of the HIP module
The HIP module is a component that can be replaced separately in the CCC.
In the test module "CCC navigation", a test is started to determine whether the HIP module is functional. The following points must be borne in mind during the diagnosis.
- Malfunctions can be remedied by briefly disconnecting the CCC from the voltage supply.
- After replacement of the HIP module, the vehicle must be driven for at least 15 minutes with good GPS reception to find the current position. During this calibration, no location display is possible.

Test of the rotating-speed sensor and GPS aerial
The rotating-speed sensor is a component that can be replaced separately in the CCC.
If there is a problem with the HIP module, problems also occur with the rotating-speed sensor and GPS aerial, as these are connected internally with the HIP module.
