33 32 076 Removing and Installing/Replacing Top Left Wishbone

33 32 076 Removing and installing/replacing top left (or right) control arm







NOTE: If the wishbone is detached from the rear axle support, it is necessary after reinstallation to carry out a chassis / wheel alignment check.







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear wheel.
- Remove underbody panelling. (R55, R56, R58)
- If necessary, remove spare wheel.
- If necessary, remove heat shield. (in COOPER S on left and right)







Only on left side at ride-height sensor:
Release screws (1) for bracket on control arm.
Tightening torque 37 14 5AZ.
Release nut and remove screw (2).
Tightening torque 33 32 1AZ.

Installation note:
Replace self-locking nut.
Tighten down screw connection in normal position.

Unscrew nut (3).
Tightening torque 33 32 3AZ.
Remove screw and then remove control arm.

Installation note:
Replace self-locking nut.
Tighten down screw connection in normal position.







Replacement:
- Modify stop pad.







After installation:
- Perform wheel alignment check
