Headlining Has Play In The Bracket

While the vehicle is being driven, a rattling noise can be heard from the rear roof area. The noise can be reproduced with light blows against the headlining in the centre above the luggage compartment lid.

Cause
The rattling noise arises due to excessive play between the clip and bracket of the headlining.

Repair instruction

1. Remove the seal for the luggage compartment lid in the upper area
2. Remove both C-pillar panels
3. Lower the headlining and remove the white clips
4. Fit rubber shims in the upper area of the clips

NOTE: Use the same rubber shims as for the clip on the window trim strip.
