FRONT SUSPENSION: WHEEL ALIGNMENT

The left and right upper control arm shafts are threaded and can be turned to increase or decrease caster. See Figure 1. One-half turn changes the caster angle about 16 minutes (16').

Caster should not vary more than 30 minutes (30') between the right and left sides.

SERVICE ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES

Camber Adjustment A 1.0 mm (.039") thick camber adjusting shim will change camber by about 13 minutes (13'). Add shims to change camber in the negative direction. Take out shims to make camber more positive. Fig. 2.

Caster Adjustment (Fig. 3)

The upper control arm shaft can be turned to increase or decrease caster angle. One-half (1/2) turn of the shaft results in a caster change of about 17 minutes (17'). Turn the shaft as in Fig.1 to increase or decrease caster. Caster angle should not vary more than 30 minutes (30') from one side to the other.
