FBC Control Unit Modification

Figure 8:

1. Disconnect negative battery cable at the battery.

2. Disconnect the large connector from the FBC Control Unit which is located under the heater unit in the passenger compartment (Figure 8).

3. Cut the Red/Blue wire at the back side of the removed connector (Figure 9). This is the battery back-up power source circuit. Wrap the cut wire with vinyl electrical tape.

MAKE SURE NO BARE WIRE IS SHOWING. THIS WIRE IS ALWAYS ENERGIZED.

4. Reconnect the control unit connector.

5. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
