Required Operations: Overview

On page 3 of this bulletin is a flow chart which shows the general descriptions of the REQUIRED OPERATIONS. These "REQUIRED OPERATIONS" are as follows:

1. Test the Carburetor Feedback System. Replace the Oxygen Sensor, Jet Mixture Solenoid Valve, and the Front Catalytic Converter as needed.

2. Remove the exhaust manifold heat protector. Check the exhaust manifold and heat protector for evidence of exhaust leakage. Replace the exhaust manifold as needed. Reinstall the exhaust manifold heat protector.

3. Remove carburetor and install choke shim.

4. Remove and clean the Sub-EGR Valve.

5. Adjust the Fast Idle Speed Screw.

6. Remove and clean the EGR Valve.

7. Modify and reroute vacuum hoses.

8. Adjust basic ignition timing.

9. Install intermediate wiring harness assembly at the ECU.

10. Affix the Service Label.

11. Complete and affix the "EMISSION RECALL COMPLETED" label.
