Vacuum Hose Installation

1. Remove the 2 short vacuum hoses from the vacuum hose assembly as shown in Figure 20.

2. Cut the vacuum hose in two near the EGR valve as shown in Step 1 of Figure 21.

3. Install the vacuum hose assembly between the cut vacuum hoses at the Thermo-Valve and the EGR valve.

4. As shown in Step 2 of Figure 21, cut the vacuum hose about 1" from the carburetor secondary throttle control diaphragm and install the new vacuum hose assembly between the cut hoses.

5. Retain in place using the supplied cable bands.

NOTE THE DIRECTION OF THE VACUUM DELAY VALVES. Each valve is marked with a band on one end to indicate direction.
