Lubricate
    Universal Joint, Drive/Propeller Shaft
      Immersion in water or use in dusty or sandy conditions may require more frequent service of this component.
Check
    Drum Brake System
      Check the linings for wear and the wheel cylinders for leakage.
    Disc Brake System
      Check pads for wear. Inspect calipers and hoses for leaks.
Adjust
    Valve Clearance
      4 cylinder engine. Adjust gasoline jet valve only.
    Idle Speed
      Check and adjust if necessary.
Inspect
    Steering
      Check steering linkage seals for wear, damage and leakage.
    Power Steering Fluid
      Check fluid level and condition.
    Fluid - M/T
      Check fluid level and condition.
    Exhaust System
      Check for cracks, corrosion and leakage. Check heat shields for debris.
    Cooling System
      Check and service system as necessary.
    Constant Velocity Joint Boot
      Check for damage, wear or leakage.
    Clutch Fluid
      Check fluid level and condition.
    Brake Fluid
      Check fluid level and condition.
    Ball Joint
      Check for wear or damage. Lubricate those equipped with grease fittings. Check for wear or damage. Lubricate those with a grease fitting available.
Replace
    Spark Plug
      Non-platinum plugs. Replace with correct type and gap according to manufacturers specification.
    Oil Filter, Engine
      Change filter at least every 12 months.
    Fluid - Differential
      1987 Limited-Slip only. 1988-89 Limited-Slip differentials only.
    Fluid - A/T
      Service fluid and filter. Check for leaks.
    Engine Oil
      Use oil rated to manufacturers specifications.
    Drive Belt
      Replace water pump and alternator V-belts.
    Air Filter Element
      Extremely dusty conditions may require more frequent service of this component.
Clean/Repack
    Wheel Bearing
      Clean and repack. Check for damage and wear. Check seals.
Flush
    Coolant
      Drain, flush and refill system. Check specific gravity for freezing point.
    Choke Housing
      Clean choke assembly and linkages. Check for proper operation.
