Service Label Installation Check and Installation

SERVICE LABEL INSTALLATION CHECK





1. Check, the part number printed on the existing Service Label (Figures 41, 42).

2. If the number is MD169889 for manual transaxle equipped vehicles or MD169890 for automatic transaxle equipped vehicles, proceed to the Emission Checklist Completion.


If the number is incorrect proceed to the Service Label Installation.

SERVICE LABEL INSTALLATION

1. From the EMR-90-010 emissions kit, choose the correct Service Label (Vacuum Hose Installation Label) for the car you are repairing.

NOTE:
Different labels are supplied for manual or automatic transmissions:
Long for manual transmissions Short for automatic transmissions.





2. Remove all dirt from the old service label.

3. Affix the new service label over the old label on the underside of the hood.
