Blower Motor: Service and Repair
Front1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect blower motor electrical connectors, then remove lower blower motor assembly attaching bolts.
3. Remove lap heater duct.
4. Remove glove box stopper and push glove box down.
5. Remove recirculation control wire, then the remaining blower motor attaching bolts.
6. Remove blower motor assembly.
7. Reverse procedure to install.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Place temperature control lever in Hot position, then drain cooling system.
3. Disconnect heater hoses from heater core, plug heater core fittings to prevent coolant spillage.
4. Remove instrument panel.
5. On 1989-91 models, proceed as follows:
a. Remove center ventilator duct, defroster duct and rear heater duct.
b. Remove heater unit attaching nuts, then the heater unit.
c. Remove heater control lever arm, then the water valve cover.
d. Remove heater pipe and water valve.
e. Disconnect control arm linkage, then remove control arm.
f. Move heater core sideways and remove from heater unit. Do not remove heater core felt when removing heater core.
6. On 1992 models, proceed as follows:
a. Remove foot shower ducts and lap cooler duct, Fig. 13.
b. On models with air conditioning, remove evaporator unit attaching nuts, then the heater unit.
c. On models less air conditioning, remove joint duct.
d. On all models, remove center duct then the center reinforcement.
e. Remove the heater unit then the heater core.
7. On all models, reverse procedure to install.
