Rear Wiper and Washer

Wiper Operation

With the rear wiper switch in the ``ON'' position current flows through the wiper switch, rear wiper motor, and ground causing the the rear wiper to operate at low speed.

Wiper Automatic Stopping Operation

With the wiper switch set to the ``OFF'' position current flows through the wiper motor cam contacts, wiper switch, and ground causing the wiper to operate until the wiper returns to the park position. When the blades reach the park position the wiper motor moves to open its contacts, which interrupts the current flow, causing the wiper motor to stop.

Wiper Intermittent Operation

On model equipped with rear intermittent wipers. With the ignition switch turned on, the wiper switch set to the ``INT'' position, current flows through intermittent relay, wiper switch, and ground, causing the intermittent relay contacts to open and close repeatedly. When the contacts are closed current flows through the wiper motor, wiper switch, intermittent wiper control relay, and ground, causing the wiper to operate. When the wiper motor starts to operate the relay contacts open causing current to flow through the wiper motor cam contacts and ground. The wipers will operate until they return to the park position.

Washer Operation
