1. Remove tripod joint (TJ) boot band, Figs. 3 through 6.
2. Wrap vinyl tape around driveshaft spline, then remove TJ boot.
3. Place alignment marks on TJ case and spider assembly, then remove TJ case.
4. Remove spider assembly snap ring, then the spider assembly. Do not disassemble spider assembly as it is serviced as an assembly.
5. Remove dynamic damper band, then the dynamic damper.
6. Remove Rzeppa joint (RJ) boot band, then the RJ boot.
7. Remove RJ and shaft assembly. RJ is non-serviceable and should be replaced as an assembly.
8. Remove dust cover and circlip.
9. Reverse procedure to assemble, noting the following:
a. Fill inside of RJ and RJ boot with specified grease.
b. To install dynamic damper, keep RJ and shaft in a straight line. Attach dynamic damper with dynamic damper band as shown in Fig. 4. Distance between dynamic damper and out board joint on except Expo models should be 16.9-17.2 inches. On Expo LRV models, 17.01 inches and on Expo models, 14.37 inches.
c. Apply specified grease to space between spider journal and roller spider assembly.
d. Fill TJ case with specified grease, fit driveshaft into TJ case, then apply more grease into the TJ case.
e. When installing TJ boot bands, ensure distance between center of bands is 3.1 inches for lefthand shaft and 3.3 inches for R.H. shaft.
