HARNESS INSPECTION PROCEDURE
COMPONENT TEST PROCEDURE
1. Remove the multiport fuel injection relay.
2. Check the continuity between the multiport fuel injection relay terminals.
Terminals 3 - 5 Connected (approximately 95 Ohms)
Terminals 2 - 5 Connected (approximately 95 Ohms)
Terminals 6 - 7 Connected (approximately 35 Ohms)
Terminals 6 - 8 Connected only one way
3. By using the jumper wire, connect the terminal 7 of the multiport fuel injection relay to (+) terminal of the battery and the terminal 6 to (-) terminal of the battery.
CAUTION: If jumper leads are not connected properly the relay will be damaged.
4. While connecting the jumper wire on the side of (-) terminal of the battery, check continuity between the terminals 1 and 4 of the multiport fuel injection relay.
Jumper wire connected: 0.0 Ohms
Jumper wire disconnected: Infinite Ohms (open circuit)
5. By using the jumper wire, connect the terminal 2 of the multiport fuel injection relay to (+) terminal of the battery and the terminal 6 to (-) terminal of the battery.
6. While connecting and disconnecting the jumper wire on the side of (-) terminal of the battery, check continuity between the terminals 1 and 4 of the multiport fuel injection relay.
Jumper wire connected: 0.0 Ohms
Jumper wire disconnected: Infinite Ohms (open circuit)
7. By using the jumper wire, connect the terminal 5 of the multiport fuel injection relay to (+) terminal of the battery and the terminal 6 to (-) terminal of the battery.
8. While connecting and disconnecting the jumper wire on the side of (-) terminal of the battery, check continuity between the terminals 2 and 4 of the multiport fuel injection relay.
Jumper wire connected: 0.0 Ohms
Jumper wire disconnected: Infinite Ohms (open circuit)
9. Replace the multiport fuel injection relay, if malfunction exists.
