Barometric Pressure Sensor: Description and Operation

PURPOSE/OPERATION
The barometric pressure sensor is built into the volume air flow sensor and detects the barometric pressure and converts it into Voltage. According to the Voltage the engine control module determines the vehicle's altitude and compensates the fuel injection to obtain a suitable air fuel mixture thus improving the driveability at high altitudes.
