KM 175 Series

A no movement condition after rebuild can be caused by a stuck damper clutch control valve. The following procedure should be used to prevent the valve from sticking.

[Step 1]
Tighten the lower valve body bolts to 36-48 in.lbs.

[Step 2]
Remove the end plate that retains the damper clutch control valve.

[Step 3]
If the valve is dragging in the bore, loosen the bolts surrounding the valve until it moves smoothly.

[Step 4]
Attach the filter. Make sure the valve does not drag in the bore after the filter bolts are tightened.

[Step 5]
Replace the end plate.
