TIGHTENING TORQUE OF ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SWITCH AND THERMO SENSOR - SERVICE MANUAL REVISION

[TSB Revision: TSB-93-14-001]

PURPOSE

This bulletin revises the engine coolant temperature switch and thermo sensor tightening torque shown in the service manual.

As a reference, write the TSB Revision number in the TSB Revision box located at the bottom of each affected service manual page.

DESCRIPTION

As shown in the following examples, revise the tightening torque of the engine coolant temperature switch and thermo sensors.





1. 1990 and 1991 Eclipse, Volume 1, Page 14-12 AND 1992-93 Eclipse, Volume 1, Page 14-13:

Change the thermo sensor tightening torque from 3-4 N-m (2-3 ft.lbs.) to 15 N-m (11 ft.lbs.).





2. 1991 3000GT, Volume 1, Page 14-8:

Add a tightening torque of 13 N-m (9 ft.lbs.) to the radiator and condenser fan thermo sensors.





3. 1991 3000GT, Volume 1, Page 14-15:

Change the A/C engine coolant temperature switch tightening torque from 8 N-m (6 ft.lbs.) to 35 N-m (25 ft.lbs.).
