Idle Speed Motor Position Sensor: Description and Operation

Motor Position Sensor Circuit:

DESCRIPTION
The Idle Air Control Valve Position Sensor (IAC) converts the position changes of the idle valve into pulse signals.

OPERATION
As the valve moves, the position changes are detected by the hall effect units and converted into pulse signals.
- The pulse signals are sent to the ECU and used to determine the position of the IAC valve.

CONSTRUCTION
The sensor consists of two hall effect units coupled to the idle air control valve.
