1992 models:
TSB-92-35-007 corrects DTC # 52. The DTC should be # 53.

1992-95 models:
TSB-95-35-007 corrects the troubleshooting procedure for DTC # 51.

TSB-96-35-005 explains normal operating characteristics of the ABS system during system check thud, whine, pedal vibration, and scraping sound.

TSB-96-35-008 revises some diagnostic trouble codes and adds others.

1995 models:
TSB-96-35-003 describes wiring changes affecting 1995 Monteros built beginning February, 1995. The changes affect wiring diagrams in the service manual.

1996 models:
TSB-96-35-008 revises some diagnostic trouble codes and adds others.

Notes:

1. Use scan tool to see trouble codes. Or, ground data link connector terminal # 1 and read codes from flashing ABS lamp on dash. Trouble code numbers for models up to 94 are on page 35C-9 in the 92-95 manual. For 95 models, the trouble codes are on page 35C-47. Trouble codes for 96 models are on page 35C-6 of the 96 manual.
2. Monteros up to 1994 have 110 teeth on each ABS rotor. 1995-96 models have 47 teeth. HU solenoid internal resistance up to 1994 is 1.0 - 1.3 ohms. For 1995 the values are 3.8 ohms out and 8.2 ohms in. For 1996 the values are 4.7 ohms out and 9.0 ohms in.
