Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

Removal





1. Remove the intake air duct.
2. Remove the wiring harness from the volume air flow sensor.
3. Remove the air cleaner cover with the volume air flow sensor attached, then remove the volume air flow sensor from the cover.
4. Remove the air filter element from the housing.
5. Remove the retaining bolts and lift the housing from the vehicle.
6 Remove the front air duct from the housing.

Installation
1. Attach the front air duct to the housing.
2. Place the housing in position in the vehicle taking care to align the front air duct with the opening in the core support.
3. Install the retaining bolts and torque to the specified value.

Torque: 8 - 10 Nm (6 - 7 ft lb)

4. install the air filter element in the housing.
5. Attach the volume air flow sensor to the cover, then attach the air cleaner cover to the housing and secure with the clips.
3 attach the wiring harness to the volume air flow sensor.
6. Install the intake air duct.
