Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

INTRODUCTION TO HEADLIGHT AUTO OFF DIAGNOSIS
The automatic headlight switching off function prevent a dead battery by switching off the headlights in certain conditions automatically even if the headlights or taillights are left on.
If the following symptoms occur, the system may be malfunctioning.
- The headlights or taillights do not go out when the driver's door is opened while the lighting switch is on and ignition switch is "OFF."
- The headlights or taillights do not go out after the lighting switch remains on and the ignition switch remains "OFF" for three minutes.
- The headlights or taillights do not go out when the lighting switch is turned on and the driver's door is closed
