Inspection Procedure 2

DIAGNOSIS

STEP 1. Check that the vapor line piping is correct.
If incorrect, repair it. Then go to Step 5.

If normal, go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check for breakage, bending or clogging of the vapor line.
If damaged, repair or replace. Then go to Step 5.

If normal, go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check the fuel cap for damage.
If damaged, replace the cap. Then go to Step 5.

If normal, go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Check the operation of the fuel tank pressure control valve.
If faulty, replace the valve. Then go to Step 5.

STEP 5. Check symptoms.
Check that the evaporative emission control system is not malfunctioning.
