Front
FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT CHECK AND ADJUSTMENTTOE-IN
1. Measure the toe-in.
Standard value:
At the center of tire tread 3.5 ± 3.5 mm (0.14 ± 0.14 inch)
At the rim of disc wheel 1.8 ± 1.8 mm (0.07 ± 0.07 inch)
Toe angle (per wheel) 0° - 0°17'
2. If the toe-in is not within the standard value, adjust the toe-in by turning the left and right tie rod turnbuckles by the same amount (in opposite directions).
CAUTION: The difference between the left and right tie rods should not exceed 5 mm (0.2 inch)
NOTE: The toe-in will move out as the left turnbuckle is turned toward the front of the vehicle and the right turnbuckle is turned toward the rear of the vehicle.
3. After adjusting, use a turning radius gauge to confirm that the steering wheel turning angle is within the standard value range. If the steering angle is outside the standard value after checking the toe-in, adjust the steering angle with the stopper bolt.
Steering wheel turning angle
Standard value:
Inside wheel 29°40' - 32°40'
Outside wheel 29°45'
TOE-OUT ANGLE ON TURNS
To check the steering linkage, especially after the vehicle has been involved in an accident or if an accident is presumed, it is advisable to check the tow-out angle on turns in addition to the wheel alignment.
Conduct this test on the left turn as well as on the right turn.
Standard value: 21°56' (inner wheel when outer wheel at 20°)
CAMBER
Standard value:
0°40' ± 30'(left/right deviation within 30')
1. Adjust the camber by increasing or decreasing the thickness of the adjusting shim provided between the upper arm shaft and the crossmember.
NOTE:
Standard thickness of the shim is 4 mm (0.16 in.).
The number of shims is three or less.
2. Increase or decrease shims between the upper arm shaft and crossmember to adjust the camber and caster.

CASTER
Standard value:
3°00' ± 1° (left/right deviation within 30')
NOTE:
1. Caster is pre-set at the factory and cannot be adjusted.
2. If the caster is not within the standard value, replace bent or damaged parts.
KINGPIN INCLINATION
Standard value: 14°52'
SIDE SLIP
Measure the side slip with a side slip tester.
Standard value: 0 ± 3 mm (0 ± 0.12 inch)
