Spark Plug: Service and Repair

SPARK PLUGS (REPLACE)

CAUTION: Platinum plugs are used on 3.0L engine. Use care not to damage the platinum tips of the platinum plugs. Do not attempt to adjust the gap on these plugs.




Spark Plug Type:




1. Spark plugs must spark properly to assure proper engine performance and reduce exhaust emission level. Therefore, they should be replaced periodically with new ones.




2. The new plugs should be checked for the proper gap.
Spark plug gap: 1.0 - 1.1 mm (0.039 - 0.043 inch)
3. Install the spark plugs and tighten to 25 N.m (18 ft-lb)
