Fuel Pump Module Replacement
FUEL PUMP MODULE REPLACEMENT1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
2. Remove the service hole cover mounting screws and remove the service hole cover.
3. Disconnect the fuel pump connector, fuel tank differential pressure sensor connector, fuel return hose, high-pressure fuel hose and fuel suction tube
4. Check the fuel pump module [Fuel pump assembly
- Fuel pump check: (Refer to On-vehicle Service, Fuel Pump Operation Check.)
- Fuel gauge check
NOTE: If the fuel pump does not operate, or the fuel gauge is defective, replace with new one(s).
CAUTION: For AWD: Pay attention not to damage the float when removing and installing fuel pump and gauge assembly through the service hole.
5. Remove the mounting nuts and plate, and remove the fuel pump module [Fuel pump assembly
6. Replace the fuel pump or fuel gauge.
7. Install the fuel pump module [Fuel pump assembly
8. Install the plate to the fuel tank and tighten the mounting nuts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 2.5 ± 0.4 Nm (22 ± 4 in-lb)
9. Connect the fuel pump connector, fuel tank differential pressure sensor connector, fuel return hose, high-pressure fuel hose and fuel suction tube
10. Tighten the service hole cover mounting screws and install the service hole cover.
11. Install the rear seat cushion assembly.
