A/T - No Overdrive/Shift Delay

APPLIES TO: All models with 20/30 series automatic transmission.
SERVICE TIP:
Shift delay and/or no overdrive may be due to pulse generators A and B being installed in reverse locations during a previous repair. Check for this condition if there is no Reverse, or if item 21 on the scan tool data list does not show a reading when the A/T is in N or P. Also, inspect for damaged connectors and for connectors inserted upside-down into the pulse generator.
Pulse generator B has a black sheath over the wiring.
Pulse generator A has a clear sheath.
