CAMBER
Required Special Tool:
^ MB991014: Wheel Alignment Gauge Attachment [Vehicles with aluminum wheels (FWD)]
^ MB991004: Wheel Alignment Gauge Attachment [Vehicles with aluminum wheels (AWD)]
Standard value: 0°40' ± 30' (Left/right deviation within 30')
NOTE: Camber is preset at the factory and cannot be adjusted.
CAUTION: Never subject the wheel bearings to the vehicle load when the trailing arm spindle self-locking nuts (FWD), the drive shaft nuts (AWD), or the special tools (MB991004 or MB991014) are loosened.
NOTE: For FWD-vehicles with aluminum wheels, attach the camber/caster/kingpin gauge to the trailing arm spindle by using the special tool MB991014. Tighten the special tool MB991014 to the same torque 175 - 25 Nm (130 - 18 ft. lbs.) as the trailing arm spindle self-locking nut.
NOTE: For AWD-vehicles with aluminum wheels, attach the camber/caster/kingpin gauge to the drive shaft by using the special tool MB991004. Tighten the special tool MB991004 to the same torque 245 - 29 Nm (181 - 21 ft. lbs.) as the drive shaft nut.
