Timing Belt

Install the timing belt tensioner adjuster to the engine and then tighten the mounting bolt to the specified torque. Do not remove the wire or pin until the tension of the valve timing belt is adjusted.
Tightening torque 23 ± 3 Nm (17 ± 2 ft. lbs.)

Timing belt lower cover bolt (bolt, washer assembled) M6 9.0 ± 1.0 Nm (80 ± 9 inch lbs.)
Timing belt lower cover nut 11 ± 1 Nm (98 ± 8 inch lbs.)
Timing belt upper cover bolt (bolt, flange)
M6 11 ± 1 Nm (98 ± 8 inch lbs.)
M8 14 ± 1 Nm (120 ± 13 inch lbs.)
Engine Overhaul
Timing belt cover bolt M6 (Bolt, washer assembly) 9.0 ± 1.0 Nm (80 ± 8 inch lbs.)
Timing belt cover bolt M6 (Flange bolt and nut) 11 ± 1 Nm (98 ± 8 inch lbs.)
