Transmission Mount: Description and Operation
GENERAL DESCRIPTIONInertia principal axes system is incorporated into the engine mount system.
^ On vehicles with M/T engine, liquid-filled cylindrical engine mounting insulator is adopted to reduce vibration during acceleration and cornering.
^ On vehicles with A/T engine, pressurized liquid-filled longitudinally installed cylindrical engine mounting insulator is adopted to reduce vibration during acceleration and cornering.
^ For transaxle mounting insulator, liquid-filled mount is used to improve ride feeling by optimizing insulator.
^ Upper installation of roll mount reduces engine rolling, and increase of insulator bore also reduces idle vibration.
