Gear Oil Replacement

GEAR OIL REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the dynamic damper and filler plug.
2. Remove the drain plug and drain oil.
3. Tighten the drain plug to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 64 ± 4 Nm (47 ± 3 ft. lbs.)
4. Add the oil until the level comes to the lower portion of the filler plug hole.
Specified gear oil:
Hypoid gear oil API classification GL-5 or higher
Above -23°C (-10°F): SAE 90, 85W-90, 80W-90
From -34 to -23°C (-30 to -10°F): SAE 80W, 80W-90
Below -34°C (-30°F): SAE 75W
5. Tighten the filler plug to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 49 ± 9 Nm (37 ± 6 ft. lbs.)
6. Tighten the dynamic damper mounting nut to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 44 ± 9 Nm (33 ± 6 ft. lbs.)
