Passenger Door Lock/Unlock Switch Input Circuit Low
PASSENGER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT LOWPassenger Door Lock/Unlock Switch Input Circuit Low:
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- (G160) Passenger door lock switch MUX circuit short to ground
- Door lock switch short to ground
- Instrument cluster
Diagnostic Test
1. TEST FOR TROUBLE CODES
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read DTC's
Q: Are there any Body related DTC's
NO: Go To 2
YES: Refer to the symptom list and repair any DTC's before proceeding.
2. DOOR LOCK SWITCH SHORTED
1. Disconnect the Passenger Window/Door Lock Switch connector.
2. With the scan tool in sensors, read the PASSENGER DOOR LOCK SWITCH voltage.
Q: Is the voltage approximately 5.0 volts?
YES: Replace the Passenger Window/Door Lock Switch.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test - Ver 1
NO: Go To 3
3. DRIVER DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Cluster C2 connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the Passenger Door Lock Switch Mux circuit.
Q: Is the resistance below 10000.0 ohms?
YES: Repair the Passenger Door Lock Switch Mux circuit for a short to ground.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test - Ver 1
NO: Replace the Instrument Cluster.
