ABS WARNING INDICATOR (EBC125)

Possible Causes
- ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM DTC PRESENT
- INSTRUMENT CLUSTER

Diagnostic Test
1. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ABS INDICATOR
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Observe the ABS indicator lamp.
3. Turn the ignition on.
Q: Select the appropriate condition for the ABS indicator lamp:
Illuminates for several seconds and turns off
^ Go To 2
Illuminates continuously:
^ With the scan tool, read DTCs. Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
^ Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST VER 1. RWAL - Verification Test - VER 1 (EBC125)
Does not illuminate:
^ Replace the Instrument Cluster.
^ Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST VER 1. RWAL - Verification Test - VER 1 (EBC125)

2. ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM DTC PRESENT
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, select View DTCs in the Anti lock Brake Module.
Q: Are there any DTCs present?
Yes: Refer to the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. RWAL - Verification Test - VER 1 (EBC125)
No: Inspect the related wiring harness and connector terminals. Monitor the scan tool parameters while wiggle testing the related harness and connectors. Refer to any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that may apply. If no problems are found, test is complete. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. RWAL - Verification Test - VER 1 (EBC125)
