Body - Rear Door Glass Comes Out Of Track: Overview
No.: TSB-08-42A-017DATE: November, 2008
MODEL: 2007-08 Outlander
SUBJECT:
REAR DOOR GLASS COMES OUT OF THE TRACK
PURPOSE
To provide a repair procedure for customer complaints of the rear door glass comes out of its track. When the glass is lowered, it can tilt rearward in the run channel. This allows it to come out of its track when it reaches the bottom of its travel. When the glass is raised, the top front of the glass becomes wedged between the door panel and the door sash.
This TSB provides steps to measure the gap between the inner and outer door panels and adjust it if required. It also provides additional steps to reposition the rear lower sash on some vehicles, replace the rear door run-channel if the existing part is damaged, and to replace the inner belt line weather strip with an improved part on some vehicles.
