Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair
CATALYTIC CONVERTERREMOVAL AND INSTALLATION [2.0L ENGINE NON-TURBO, 2.4L ENGINE]
- The catalytic converter is integrated with the center exhaust pipe. The removal and installation is the same as the center exhaust pipe.
- The catalytic converter is integrated with the front exhaust pipe and center exhaust pipe. The removal and installation is the same as the front exhaust pipe and center exhaust pipe.
REMOVAL SERVICE POINT
[[A]] HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (REAR) REMOVAL
Use special tool MB991953 to remove the heated oxygen sensor (rear).
INSTALLATION SERVICE POINT
]]A[[ HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (REAR) INSTALLATION
Tighten the heated oxygen sensor (rear) to the specified torque by using special tool MB991953.
Tightening torque: 44 ± 5 N.m (33 ± 3 ft-lb)
