Drive Belt (For Water Pump and Generator) (Check Condition)
DRIVE BELT (FOR GENERATOR, POWER STEERING OIL PUMP) (CHECK CONDITION)
[2.4L ENGINE]
1. Remove the radiator condenser tank mounting bolts.
2. Move the radiator condenser tank to a place where it will not be a hindrance when checking the generator and others belt tension.

CAUTION:
Check the generator and others belt tension after turning the crankshaft clockwise one turn or more.
Make sure that the indicator mark on the generator drive belt auto-tensioner is within the area marked with A in the illustration.
4. If the mark is out of the area A, replace the generator and others belt (Refer to Service and Repair).
NOTE:
The generator and others belt tension check is not necessary as the generator drive belt auto-tensioner is adopted.
5. Tighten the radiator condenser tank mounting bolts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 12 ± 2 Nm
[3.0L ENGINE]

CAUTION:
Check the drive belt tension after turning the crankshaft clockwise one turn or more.
Make sure that the indicator mark is within the area marked with A in the illustration.
2. If the mark is out of the area, replace the drive belt. (Refer to Service and Repair).
NOTE:
The drive belt tension adjustment is not necessary, as the engine is equipped with an auto-tensioner.
