Inspection Procedure 3: The sunshade does not close.
CAUTION:
Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the ground circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
COMMENT ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
Malfunction of the sunshade motor assembly or sunshade switch is suspected.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of the sunshade motor assembly
- Malfunction of the sunshade switch
- Damaged harness wires and connectors
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Connector check: E-15 sunshade switch connector
Q. Is the check result normal?
YES Go to Step 2.
NO Repair the damaged connector.
STEP 2. Sunshade switch check
Refer to Sunshade Switch Check Sunshade Switch Check.
Q. Is the sunshade switch normal?
YES Go to Step 3.
NO Replace the sunshade switch.
STEP 3. Connector check: E-11 sunshade motor assembly connector
Q. Is the check result normal?
YES Go to Step 4.
NO Repair the damaged connector.
STEP 4. Wiring harness check between E-15 sunshade switch connector terminal No. 6 and E-11 sunshade motor assembly connector terminal No. 6
- Check the input/output line for open circuit.
Q. Is the check result normal?
YES Go to Step 5.
NO Repair the wiring harness.
STEP 5. Check the trouble symptom.
Check that the sunshade lid closes.
Q. Is the check result normal?

NO Replace the sunshade motor assembly.
