SERVICE INFORMATION

When a windshield is being installed in any vehicle listed in APPLIED VEHICLES (above), the glass primer has to dry (properly flash) for at least three (3) minutes. If the primer is misapplied and touches the PVC carrier of the windshield molding AND is not properly flashed, the molding can become bonded to the glass. With this condition and during extreme temperatures, the molding expands and contracts, resulting in "spalling (etching/peeling away of glass layers). This can result in windshield cracks over time (see below).

With any windshield installation, be sure to inform the windshield installer to:

^ Apply the primer in the correct areas only (see below),

AND

^ Allow the Primer to properly flash for least three (3) minutes before the windshield molding is installed and comes in contact with the primer (see below).
