WINDOW REGULATOR CREAK NOISE AFTER OPENING

This bulletin amends NTB05-042. Please discard all paper copies of that bulletin.





APPLIED VEHICLE(S)

IF YOU CONFIRM

There is a creak noise during window movement after the window is opened approximately a quarter of the way from the fully closed position.

OR

The window glass continues to move down slightly after the window button is released and makes a creak noise.

ACTION

Remove the window regulator and apply Genuine Nissan Window Regulator Grease to the specific locations of the slide rail as shown in the Service Procedure.

NOTE:
GENUINE NISSAN WINDOW REGULATOR GREASE is the ONLY approved grease for this repair if Nissan is paying for the repair. This includes warranty, service contract and goodwill. Such a claim may be denied if GENUINE NISSAN WINDOW REGULATOR GREASE is not used as specified in this bulletin.

1. Remove the front door glass regulator assembly from the side that is making noise.

^ Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), section GW, for removal instructions.

2. Clean/wipe off all of the old existing grease from the front window regulator slide rail.





3. Apply Genuine Nissan Window Regulator Grease (see Parts Information) to the entire length of the front window regulator slide rail as shown. (See Figure 2).

4. Reinstall the glass regulator assembly and any other parts that were removed in the reverse order of assembly.
