LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LAMP


Description






The combination meter receives tire pressure status from the BCM using CAN communication. When BCM judges from a transmitter signal that tire pressure is insufficient, BCM transmits a signal to combination meter through CAN communication. combination meter turns on the low tire pressure warning lamp mounted on the combination meter.

Diagnosis Procedure

1.POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check power supply and ground circuit. Power Supply And Ground Circuit.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 2.
NO - Repair or replace damaged parts.
2.PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS
With CONSULT-III
Perform "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" in "AIR PRESSURE MONITOR" of "BCM".
Is any DTC detected?
YES - Check the DTC. Testing and Inspection.
NO - GO TO 3.
3.CHECK LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LAMP SIGNAL
With CONSULT-III
1. Turn the ignition switch ON.

CAUTION:
Never start the engine.
2. Perform "DATA MONITOR" in "AIR PRESSURE MONITOR" of "BCM".
3. Select "BCM" in "DATA MONITOR", and check that the low tire pressure warning lamp is turned OFF after illuminating for approximately 1 second, when the ignition switch is turned ON.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Check the combination meter. System Description.
NO - Replace the BCM. Exploded View.
