NOTE:
The above vehicles will NOT appear in Service Comm.

INTRODUCTION

Nissan has identified the need to update Owner's Manual information for the 2000 through 2003 Frontier and Xterra models related to the rear jacking points for vehicles equipped with 15" factory wheels. Vehicles equipped with 16" factory wheels are not affected.

Nissan is conducting a Service Campaign to update the affected pages in the Owner's Manual.

IDENTIFICATION NUMBER

Nissan has assigned identification number P3124 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communications and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign.

NUMBER OF VEHICLES POTENTIALLY AFFECTED

The number of vehicles potentially affected is approximately 79,000 for Frontier and 160,000 for Xterra.

SERVICE PROCEDURE








If you have an affected 2000 through 2003 Frontier or Xterra in your inventory, please insert the applicable Owner's Manual Supplement (see Figures 1 and 2) into the specified section of the Owner's Manual. Then place the manual into the owner information vinyl portfolio. This will ensure that the corrected information will be given to the purchaser of the vehicle.
