Cylinder, Drum, and Lining

WHEEL CYLINDER
Check wheel cylinder for leakage.
Check for wear, damage and loose conditions. Replace if any such condition exists.







DRUM
Maximum inner diameter (Repair limit):
LT26B 261.5 mm (10.30 inch)
LT30A 296.5 mm (11.67 inch)

Contact surface should be fine finished with No. 120 to 150 emery paper.

Using a drum lathe, lathe brake drum if it shows scoring, partial wear or stepped wear.

After brake drum has been completely reconditioned or replaced, check drum and and shoes for proper contact pattern.

Measuring Brake Lining:

LINING
Check lining thickness.
Standard lining thickness:

LT26B 5.5 mm (0.217)
LT30A 5.8 mm (0.228 inch)
Lining wear limit (A):
LT26B 1.5 mm (0.059 inch)
LT30A 1.5 mm (0.059 inch)
