Exhaust Manifold:

Camshaft:
Camshaft and Camshaft Bearing
Tighten fixing bolts of Camshaft brackets as follows:
Step 1 (Bolts 9-12) 1.96 N.m (0.2 kg-m, 17 in-lb)
Step 2 (Bolts 1-8) 1.96 N.m (0.2 kg-m, 17 in-lb)
Step 3 (All Bolts) 5.88 N.m (0.6 kg-m, 52 in-lb)
Step 4 (All Bolts) 10.4 N.m (1.1 kg-m, 92 in-lb)
Oil Pump:
Connecting rod bolts
Step 1: 19.6 Nm (11 ft. lbs.)
Step 2: 90° Angle tightening
Flywheel bolt torque: 88.2 Nm (65 ft lb)
Water Pump bolt torque: 24.5 Nm (18 ft lb)
Cylinder Head
Follow the steps below to tighten the bolts in the numerical order shown in the figure to install cylinder head.
CAUTION: If cylinder head bolts are re-used, check their diameters before installation.
NOTE: Apply engine oil to threads and seating surface of bolts.
Tool number: KV10112100 (BT-8653-A)
Step a: 98.1 Nm (10 kg-m, 72 ft. lbs.)
Step b: 0 Nm Loosen in the reverse order of tightening.
Step c: 44.1 Nm (4.5 kg-m, 33 ft. lbs.)
Step d: 60° degrees clockwise
Step e: 60° degrees clockwise
CAUTION: Check and confirm the tightening angle by using suitable tool. Avoid judgment by visual inspection without the tool.
Cylinder Head Bolts Diameter
^ Cylinder head bolts are tightened by plastic zone (Torque-to-yeild) tightening method. Whenever the size difference between d1 and d2 exceeds the limit, replace the bolts with new one.
- Subtract the head bolt diameter measurement taken at d2 from the head bolt diameter measurement taken at d1. If the difference between d1 and d2 exceeds the limit, replace the bolts with new ones.
Limit (d1 - d2): 0.18 mm (0.0071 inch)
^ If reduction of diameter appears in a position other than d2, use it as d2 point.
Main Bearing Caps
Follow the steps below to tighten each main bearing cap bolts.
a. Apply engine oil to threads and seating surface of bolts, and tighten all bolts temporarily
Main bearing cap bolts in order of 1 to 10: 39.2 Nm (4.0 kg-m, 29 ft. lbs.)
Main bearing cap sub bolt in order of 11 to 20: 29.4 Nm (3.0 kg-m, 22 ft. lbs.)
Main bearing cap bolts in order of 1 to 10: 40°
CAUTION: Measure tighten angle in step "d" and "e" with angle wrench (SST). Do not measure visually.
Main bearing cap sub bolt in order of 11 to 20: 30°
Side bolt to in order of 21 to 30: 49 Nm (5.0 kg-m, 36 ft. lbs.)
^ Rotate crankshaft by hands after bolts are tightened. Check if it rotates smoothly.
Crankshaft pulley bolt torque
Step 1: 93.1 Nm (9.5 kg-m, 69 ft. lbs.)
Step 2: additional 90° (angle tightening)
