Self-diagnosis FunctionDESCRIPTION
The self-diagnosis system diagnosis sensors, door motors, blower motor, etc. by system line.
Self-diagnosis is STEP-1 to 7. There are two ways of changing method during self-diagnosis.
- Switching to self-diagnosis STEP-1 to 4.
Shifting from usual control to the self-diagnosis system is accomplished by starting the engine (turning the ignition switch from OFF to ON) and pressing A/C switch for at least 5 seconds. The A/C switch must be pressed within 10 seconds after starting the engine (ignition switch is turned ON). This system will be canceled by either pressing intake switch or turning the ignition switch OFF. Shifting from one step to another is accomplished be means of turning fan control dial, as required.
- Switching to self-diagnosis STEP-5 to 7 (Auxiliary mechanism).
Shifting from usual control to the self-diagnosis system is accomplished by starting the engine (turning the ignition switch from OFF to ON) and pressing intake switch for at least 5 seconds. The intake switch must be pressed within 10 seconds after starting the engine (ignition switch is turned ON). This system will be canceled by either pressing A/C switch or turning the ignition switch OFF. Shifting from one step to another is accomplished by means of turning fan control dial, as required.

FUNCTION CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
AUXILIARY MECHANISM: TEMPERATURE SETTING TRIMMER
The trimmer compensates for differences in range of -3 degrees C (-6 degrees F) between temperature setting (temperature control dial position) and temperature felt by customer.
Operating procedures for this trimmer are as follows:
1. Set temperature control dial at 25 degrees C (75 degrees F).
2. Set fan control dial to OFF.
3. Turn ignition switch ON.
4. Set in self-diagnosis mode as follows. Within 10 seconds after starting engine (ignition switch is turned ON.), press intake switch for at least 5 seconds.
5. When intake switch is pressed, temperature shifts in following order: 0 degree C (0 degree F)-> 1 degree C (2 degree F)-> 2 degree C (4 degree F)- 3 degree C (6 degree F)-> - 3 degree C (-6 degree F)-> - 2 degree C (-4 degree F)-> - 1 degree C (-2 degree F)-> return to 0 degree C (0 degree F).
When battery cable is disconnected, trimmer operation is canceled. Temperature set becomes that of initial condition, i.e. 0 degree C (0 degree F).
AUXILIARY MECHANISM: FOOT POSITION SETTING TRIMMER
Wind distribution ratio in FOOT mode can be set.
Operating procedures for this trimmer are as follows:
1. Set temperature control dial at 25 degree C (75 degree F).
2. Set fan control dial to AUTO.
3. Turn ignition switch ON.
4. Set in self-diagnosis mode as follows. Within 10 seconds after starting engine (ignition switch is turned ON.), press intake switch for at least 5 seconds.
5. Press intake switch as desired.
AUXILIARY MECHANISM: INLET PORT MEMORY FUNCTION
When ignition switch is turned from OFF to ON, inlet port can be set to AUTO or manual.
Operating procedures for this trimmer are as follows:
1. Set fan control dial to 1st-12th speed.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Set in self-diagnosis mode as follows. Within 10 seconds after starting engine (ignition switch is turned ON.), press intake switch for at least 5 seconds.
4. Press intake switch as desired.
