AIR CLEANER AND AIR DUCT

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL





1. Remove clips, and slide air duct (inlet) forward, disengage clips and air cleaner case.

NOTE:
When removing air duct (inlet), remove front bumper and bumper fascia stay radiator core support center.

2. Disconnect harness connector from mass air flow sensor.
3. Disconnect PCV hose.
4. Remove air cleaner case/mass air flow sensor assembly and air duct assembly disconnecting their joints.
^ Add marks as necessary for easier installation.
5. Remove mass air flow sensor from air cleaner case.

CAUTION:
Handle mass air flow sensor with care.
^ Never shock mass air flow sensor.
^ Never disassemble mass air flow sensor.
^ Never touch its mass air flow sensor.


INSPECTION AFTER REMOVAL
Inspect air duct for crack or tear.
- If anything found, replace air duct.

INSTALLATION
Note the following, and install in the reverse order of removal.
- Align marks. Attach each joint. Screw clamps firmly.

CAUTION:
Keep the clearance more than 5 mm between tower bar and air duct.
