Power Switch Position Indicator

POWER SWITCH POSITION INDICATOR

Description

Power switch position indicator is controled by BCM, and turns on when power position is in ACC and ON.


Component Function Check


1. CHECK FUNCTION

Check power switch ("PUSH SWITCH INDICATOR") in Active Test Mode with CONSULT.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- INSPECTION END
NO- Refer to "Diagnosis Procedure" .


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK POWER SWITCH CIRCUIT - 1

1.Turn power switch OFF.
2.Disconnect power switch connector.
3.Check voltage between power switch harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection normal?
YES- GO TO 2.
NO-1- Check 10 A fuse [No.7, located in fuse block (J/B)].
NO-2- Check harness for open or short between power switch and fuse.

2. CHECK POWER SWITCH CIRCUIT - 2

1.Disconnect BCM connector.
2.Check continuity between BCM harness connector and power switch harness connector.





3.Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- Repair or replace harness.

3. CHECK POWER SWITCH INTERNAL CIRCUIT

1.Connect power switch connector.
2.Check voltage between power switch connector and ground.





Is the inspection normal?
YES- Replace BCM. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Service and Repair.
NO- Replace power switch.
