The Driving Sound Does Not Sound




THE DRIVING SOUND DOES NOT SOUND

Description

The driving start sound does not operate when the selector lever is in the "D" position and the brake pedal is released.
NOTE:
The driving sound and reverse sound operate.


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

1.Connect the CONSULT.
2.Check the stop lamp switch input signal. Refer to "Component Function Check" Stop Lamp Switch Signal Circuit.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace the VSP control unit. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Approaching Vehicle Sound For Pedestrians (VSP) Control Unit.
NO- GO TO 2.

2. CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT

Check the stop lamp switch signal circuit. Refer to "Diagnosis Procedure" Stop Lamp Switch Signal Circuit.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- Repair harness or connector.

3. CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH

Check stop lamp switch. Refer to "Component Inspection" Stop Lamp Switch Signal Circuit.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace the VSP control unit. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Approaching Vehicle Sound For Pedestrians (VSP) Control Unit.
NO- Replace stop lamp switch.
