REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER RELAY

Component Function Check


1. CHECK REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER RELAY

1.Select "REAR DEFOGGER" in "Active Test" (IPDM E/R) mode with CONSULT.
2.Check rear window defogger relay operation.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Rear window defogger relay is OK.
NO- .


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK FUSE

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Check the following.
-15A fuse (No. 55, located in IPDM E/R)
-15A fuse (No. 56, located in IPDM E/R)
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 2.
NO- Replace the blown fuse after repairing the affected circuit if a fuse is blown.

2. CHECK IPDM E/R OUTPUT SIGNAL

1.Turn ignition switch ON.
2.Check voltage between IPDM E/R harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- Replace IPDM E/R.

3. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Intermittent Incident.
