Component Tests and General Diagnostics

1. Check the PWR SEAT/PSD Circuit Breaker for an open. If the Circuit Breaker is blown check CKT 340 for a short to ground.
2. Check the IGN 1 Fuse for an open. If the fuse is blown check CKT 19 for a short to ground.
3. Check the RADIO Fuse for an open. If the fuse is blown check CKT 640 for a short to ground.
4. Check the B/U I/P Fuse for an open. If the fuse is blown check CKT 840 for a short to ground.
5. Make sure that G302 is clean and tight.
6. Keep bright light away from the optical sensor when servicing the vehicle (bright light could cause the system to lose track of where it is at).
7. Make sure the Power Sliding Door operates normally in a non-power mode before beginning electrical diagnostics.
8. Check the RH Door Lock Switch Plate (Pillar Mounted) and the RH Door Lock Switch Plate (Pillar Mounted) for corrosion and make sure they make good contact.
9. Before reinitializing the Power Sliding Door check to see if any Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) codes are recorded.
10. If you cannot enter diagnostics check the Rear Sliding Door Alarm to make sure the connection is good.
11. Always check terminal contact before replacing any component.
- Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
- Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
