Troubleshooting Hints - Interior Lights

1. If the Headlamps are also inoperative, refer to Headlights: Daytime Running Lights. Testing and Inspection
2. Check the CTSY LAMP Fuse. If open repair a short to ground in circuit 240.
3. Check the PARK I/P Fuse. If open repair a short to ground in circuit 1340.
4. Check the IGN 1 Fuse. If open repair a short to ground in circuit 39.
5. Check the MALL/RADIO/DIC Fuse. If open repair a short to ground in circuit 43.
6. Check the CIGAR/Data Link Connector (DLC) LAMP Fuse. If open repair a short to ground in circuit 440.
7. Check the FRT PWR SCKT Fuse. If open repair a short to ground in circuit 1940.
8. Check the RR PWR SCKT Fuse. If open repair a short to ground in circuit 2540.
9. Check that grounds G102, G302, G200 and G401 are clean and tight.
10. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove good in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
11. If interior lamps do not function properly with Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) but function normally with the Headlamp and Instrument Panel Lamp Dimmer Switch and doors then refer to Keyless Entry. Keyless Entry
12. Check the body control module for any codes that may have been set. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM). Testing and Inspection
