Circuit Diagnosis - Cranking Circuit

Perform the following checks before removing any component of the cranking circuit for repair.

INSPECT
^ Battery - Refer to Battery to determine battery condition. Battery
^ Wiring - Inspect the wiring for damage. Inspect all connections to the starter motor, solenoid, ignition switch, battery, and all ground connections. Clean and tighten connections as required.
^ Starter Solenoid and Ignition Switches - Inspect to determine their condition.
^ Starter Motor - If the battery, wiring and switches are in satisfactory condition, and the engine is known to be functioning properly, refer to "No Cranking or Slow Cranking" and proceed with diagnosis.
